Georgia Capitol Museum

As part of the period restoration of the capitol itself, it was important for the museum to preserve the original Victorian-era casework. We developed strategies for casework renovation that would preserve the original appearance but include current artifact conservation standards.

The museum also has a large collection of historic battle flags carried by Georgia units dating back to the Civil War. Although a limited number of flags are shown at one time, there is a touch screen that provides an inventory of the collection.
