Texas Discovery Gardens - Dallas, TX

Located at historic Fair Park in Dallas, Texas Discovery Gardens is a year-round urban oasis filled with natural wonders for visitors of all ages. Encompassing more than 230,000 cubic feet, the new Sammons Butterfly House is one of the largest year-round live butterfly exhibits in the world and holds hundreds of tropical butterflies and beneficial insects. Entering on the second floor at the canopy level and descending on a spectacular spiral walkway to the lower level, visitors will stroll among free-flying tropical butterflies. VS&R developed all interpretive spots, programmed all educational experiences, and conceptualized the two-story walk down from the canopy to the forest floor. In addition, conceptual development has been completed for future exhibits focused upon insects and urban ecology.
