
North Carolina Museum of Forestry - Whiteville, NC
The museum, housed in a newly renovated 17,226 sq. ft. former bank building on 1.9 acres of land in downtown Whiteville is scheduled to open in April of 2012. The new museum will celebrate the story of the natural history and cultural heritage of North Carolina's forests and forestry through interpretive and interactive exhibits, educational programming, and the preservation of natural and man-made materials that demonstrate the on-going relationships of forests and people.
